Endless Me...

On my way back from Banff, I had a few hours to kill at the Calgary airport - so rather than sitting around, I called my friend Gregor to see if we could waste some time together. A few minutes later I could hear the rumble of his '68 Mustang race car doing the loop around the departure terminals...
So, a little about Gregor: he is a sick bastard with a hard-on for old things. Just look at his tumblr and you'll know what I mean...
Not only does he drive the mustang on a daily basis, he also wrenches on his old Ironhead and Panhead and now he also has this old Airstream he plans to restore...like I said...sick bastard...

Canadian Rockies...

Landscapes are usually a bit of a snooze for me, but once I saw this stuff in front of me, I just couldn't help it.
In any case, we flew into Calgary and made our way to Banff to stock up on some proper clothing and Red Bulls. Unfortunately, the rental car was all wrong for these epic mountain roads. A 68 Mustang 3 speed would have been better...but more about that car in an upcoming post.
Anyway, it was probably for the best that we had some heavy white and painfully slow SUV - drifting thru one of these curves like a slot car is fun for sure, until you come up on some Bull Elk at full throttle...

Jason Webber and ATR for Two Wheels Brazil

Alright folks...I'm in the Canadian Rockies at the moment and my internet connection is pretty dodgy, so I hope this video is actually on here. It won't load for me...

On the Road again...

So, I'm heading out early morning again. This time to Banff...funny name...
In any case, I leave you with these few shots of Mr. Jimmy Monk at the recent Brooklyn Invitational. Actually, a few days before the event, but that's beside the point. What is the point is that Jimmy managed to finagle this rabbit fur hat in the hasidic part of town the very first day we got into Brooklyn.
I'll be posting more of the Invitational when I return from Canada...
Anyway, that's my scene for the moment...

Gypsy Run: Day 4 - Ride home...

Well, there you have it...the final post of the Gypsy Run. We had a fantastic time with old friends, new friends, perfect weather and amazing roads. Big thanks to Walter for organizing the Gypsy AND for organizing a bike for me!
Oh yeah, if you go camping with some ex-Marines, be prepared for shit to blow up...
